About Gulf State Park Campground

Located 1.5 miles from the white sand beaches, Gulf State Park Campground offers 496 improved full – hookup campsites with paved pads.

Do you want to camp at Gulf State Park but don’t own a camper? Rent an RV or camper. It is affordable and some will even set it up for you before you arrive.

All full hookup camping pads are large enough for RVs with pullouts and have picnic tables, pedestal grill tops (no fire rings yet but you are welcome to bring your own that are above ground)

Gulf State Park Campground Features

Campground features 11 modern air-conditioned bathhouses,  a campstore, laundry facilities, swimming pool with splash pad, tennis/pickle ball courts, horseshoes, volleyball, Nature Center and ongoing weekly activities.

Gulf State Park’s Nature Center is a living museum of plants and animals that are native to the Gulf Coast region. Open to the public Monday through Saturday 9am until 4pm.

Things to do in Gulf State Park

Paved trail with palm tree and sun coming through the trees on Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry TrailGulf State Park is home to the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail which has over 25 miles of paved, enhanced trails. Rent a bike from the campstore.

 

Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier is the largest pier on the Gulf of Mexico. Features such as  seating for concession area, indoor retail area for tackle, rod and reel rentals and souvenirs, comfort stations at the midpoint of the pier  and wheelchair accessible rail fishing. Pier office and bait shop hours are 6am until 6pm. The pier is open 24 hours and has an honor box to pay fees after hours.

Refuge Golf Course at Gulf State Park offers 18 holes of laid back play with no strict dress code. Stop by the Grill for lunch.

 

There is so much to do at Gulf State Park. You can spend your entire vacation in the park and never get bored but there are also unlimited things to do in Gulf Shores.  Dolphin cruises, water parks, a nice little zoo, shopping and countless restaurants.
